“Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.” Cecil Beaton

We at the DPS-STS, believe that every student has natural artistic abilities that they or their guardians might not be aware of. In promoting each child to pursue different types of arts and activities, we hope to unlock their mind to all kinds of possibilities, thus unleashing their creative, inventive sides, which might benefit the whole of mankind one day. Thus the Creative Arts curriculum is designed to develop an appreciation and understanding of the arts, through an exploration of art, craft, and design in a wide cultural and historical context.

Children are encouraged to observe, respond, discuss the work of artists, craft workers and designers in a practical and imaginative way. A particular focus is placed on regional arts and impressions but we try our best to let them explore the entire world of arts, if they are inclined to do so. Opportunities are given to children to develop skills and express ideas by working with different materials, and using a variety of techniques.
