DPS STS School Dhaka celebrates Graduation Day


 
DPS STS School Dhaka celebrated its 6th Graduation Ceremony 2018-19 for the passing out of 114 A Level Graduates under the Cambridge International Curriculum on April 19, 2019. The programme welcomed parents of Graduates, Teachers, distinguished guests from Cambridge Assessment International Education, The British Council, and Members of the STS Educational Board to the Senior School Campus on Friday evening. The Vice Principal of the School, Ms Madhu Wal, presented inspiring words for the new graduates and guests. In her speech, she acknowledged the flurry of emotions, anticipation and excitement these individuals are experiencing and reminded them of all that they have learned from their parents, teachers and life that they would apply in the days ahead. The students were also reminded of their responsibilities to society, country and the world where they would shine and lead the way to a new world order that is inspired by ‘love, universal brotherhood, harmony, peace, prosperity, enlightment, and goodness of humanity at large’. The Valedictorian, Mysha Ibnat expressed her deepest gratitude to the parents, teachers, the Principal, Vice Principal and the DPS Board for love and support. She made a special mention of Math teacher, Mr Asish Kumar Saha who passed way recently after a fight with cancer and expressed her affection and affinity for her batch-mates. The guests and graduates enjoyed some lovely song and dance performances by the Middle Section students. The ceremony concluded with the Principal, Mr Harsh Wal, awarding diplomas to the graduates. The evening ended with the glowing graduates, their parents and guests enjoying dinner and cake-cutting.
